Alumni Career Chat: Bringing your passion for social impact into the workplace

Oct 8, 2020 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM

Registration Deadline: Oct 8, 2020 11:00 AM

  • Do you care deeply about social justice, but aren't sure how to incorporate your values into your future field or industry?
  • Do you want to feel like you're making a difference when you go into work?
  • Do you want to explore social impact outside of the non-profit sector?
Niya Bajaj (BA '08, Sexual Diversity Studies) hosts this small-group interactive session.  Niya was active in student governance during her studies and enjoyed it so much that she decided to pursue a career in the public sector.  She currently works in the Ontario Public Service as a Senior Communications Consultant. Her background in social justice and impact informs her work as she creates communications about policy for internal and external audiences and provides recommendations to senior leaders and her team.

This is an open session (i.e. there will be no presentation) and will be based on the questions raised from the group. Attendance is capped to ensure participants have the space to share their questions.

This registration is for the live event. If you cannot attend or want a copy of the recording, please register here and you will be emailed when the recording is available.  (Recording will be available here:
