Called to Action: Leading In Unprecedented Times are two events where community leaders in STEM, Education, Community Leadership, and Business from across the GTA will come together to discuss the inclusive approaches they have adopted to support their communities and industries during the COVID-19 pandemic. The symposium will be held virtually on February 16th, 2021. While this event is being hosted online, it is being planned on the unceded territory of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently Mississaugas of the Credit River. We know that there can be no leadership without reconciliation and are centering that realization while planning this conference on this land.

We're calling all student leaders to join a passionate group of participants interested in learning more about leadership, mentorship, and solidarity. This year's theme is "Call to Action" for the students to take inspiration from different leaders on how to respond to the various communities' needs during COVID-19. Panelists from different fields in science, business, non-profit, and education will talk about how their leadership has improved their communities with a specific spotlight on racialized and marginalized groups. Students living with disabilities and those who identify as part of the BIPOC, Queer, Immigrant, and Racialized communities are highly encouraged to join this conversation.

The conference includes opportunities to hear various keynote speakers, engage in panel discussions, and be inspired by people changing the meaning of leadership to then apply to your own views on leadership.

*Registration is required so that we can send you the meeting link in advance of the workshop. Please ensure to read your Registration Confirmation email for more details and keep an eye out for the workshop link arriving in your inbox or spam folder within 24 hours of the workshop time & date.
