Learn beginner finger weaving techniques and about Métis culture in this two-hour virtual workshop.

Please register early in order to receive supplies on time.

This workshop will be facilitated by Megan Southwell. Megan is Métis with roots originating from Bootaaganiminis (Drummond Island) and Binidaangising (Penetanguishene). She is a student at the University of Toronto where she is double majoring in Indigenous studies and socio-cultural anthropology. Megan has a passion for learning about her culture and history, and sharing it with others through Métis jigging, decorative arts, and engaging in conversation. The youth movement that contributes to the resurgence of Métis identity is a connection that continues to be a source of strength for Megan. She also enjoys playing tennis, reading, and taking care of her plants!
