“Secure the Bag” is colloquial, urban, Black terminology meaning the act of obtaining something of value, in this case, social capital towards a career.  African Black Caribbean students and recent alumni will connect with African Black Caribbean experts in their fields. This will be achieved through as many interactions as possible, to maximize information sharing and discussions.  This interactive event will augment student / alumni capacity to access real opportunities in this competitive job market.

•    Pose your career questions to African, Black and Caribbean professionals who mentor, recruit & hire;
•    Be assisted in your transition from undergrad to grad / alumni / faculty & other professions;
•    Network and talk with African, Black and Caribbean experts about the hidden job market and learn about different career opportunities;
