This is part 1 of a 3 part workshop series where we will use evidence-based learning strategies and mindfulness practices to help you settle and focus your mind, create an intentional approach to how you navigate text, and develop strategies for deep reading. During this first workshop, you will join Victoria Sheldon and Benjamin Pottruff, Learning Strategists from Academic Success, to discuss and practice strategies to increase confidence and reduce procrastination when reading.

  • Recognizing and understanding mind-wandering
  • Identifying "thinking traps" related to reading
  • Building confidence as a reader
