This 45 minute slow flowing yoga class aims to reduce stress while increasing strength, balance and flexibility, but don't worry, we know it's lunch so we won't get you too sweaty.
New to yoga? No worries. Modifications are offered to make the class more accessible. Mats are available or you can bring your own. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. No special gear or clothing is required.
Yoga is different from other types of physical activity because it isn't competitive. Your instructor Lauren Brown emphasizes what is happening inside, not on the outside. Always go at your own pace and do what feels safe and useful for your body and how it feels today.
New to the gym? The friendly staff will greet you at Goldring. Show your Tcard at the door, scan through the turnstile and head up to the bright sunny studio on the third floor. There's an elevator or stairs. Change rooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor.
If you paid winter fees you have access until May 21st.
If you are registered for the spring/summer term and you've paid incidental fees and you have full access.
If neither of these apply check out the great rates for spring/summer memberships https://kpe.utoronto.ca/facilities-memberships/become-sport-rec-member
Physical activity and meditation are proven to boost our mood and increase positive emotions. Check out Dr. Catherine Sabiston from the Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education, segments on Windvane to learn more. https://windvane.life/move/
