This mindful movement workshop introduces a method of movement that is designed to invoke a sense of calm, peace, and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. The workshop is offered through exercises inspired by dance movement therapy (DMT) and holistic movement practices such as yoga, tai chi and qi gong, however, is not a substitute for DMT.

This workshop aims to equip attendees with tools to integrate movement into their daily lives and expand one's consciences around the boundaries and curiosity of their movement.

The workshop does not require any previous dance experience.

Tanjot Panesar is known for his innovation as a movement artist and educator in the greater Toronto area. His mission is to provide a holistic learning experience within dance spaces. Using his training in multiple movement styles such as hip-hop street styles and contemporary, he has developed a unique way of storytelling that is driven by incorporating breathwork, visualization and physical world concepts into dance. In this way, he hopes to inspire others to share their unique qualities and stories through movement.

Currently, Tanjot is an intermediate choreography dance instructor at the Underground Dance Centre located in downtown Toronto and is pursuing a career in dance, TV/Film and technology.
