Gender Justice is an important practice that requires continuous learning and engagement. This workshop series focuses on the importance of interfaith discussions as it relates to gender justice and injustice. We will have different speakers for varying faith backgrounds on topics like gender equality, various women's rights movements, women in leadership etc. The goal of this series is to expose UofT students and faculty to discussions on the role and the importance of women in faith and faith spaces.

Dr. Jaspreet Bal is a Child and Youth Care Practitioner and a Professor in the Child and Youth Care program at Humber College in Toronto. A community organizer and educator, her practice involves radical youth work with underserved populations across North America. She is the editor of the Relational Child and Youth Care Practice Journal.  Bal serves on the advisory board of the Sikh Research Institute and cohosts the WSO podcast #AskCanadianSikhs.
