Spotlighting South Asian Literature

Jan 28, 2022 05:30 PM to 07:00 PM

Registration Deadline: Jan 28, 2022 05:30 PM

Conflict. Culture. Colonization. The South Asian diaspora is a far and wide ranging collection of ethnicities, religions and societies. The mosaic of the South  Asian diaspora is woven deep within the intricate framework of the basic identity of being a South  Asian individual. Cultural and historical incidents have led to the development of intergenerational trauma that often goes unrecognized and unaddressed. The "Spotlighting South Asian Literature" Book Club presented by WoSAHC and the MFC intends to actively address de-colonization, trans-national feminism, toxic masculinity, internalized misogyny and much more. Come out to learn more about and discuss South Asian history and heritage through the works of renowned writers and authors. Bring lots of enthusiasm and questions. We hope to see you there!
