Virtual Accountability Check-In

Nov 7, 2022 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM

Registration Deadline: Nov 7, 2022 12:00 PM

Virtual Accountability Check-Ins:

Join us weekly, for 30-minute weekly check-ins on Mondays (12-12:30pm) to:

  • set goals for your week,
  • prioritize tasks, and
  • create a weekly schedule.
Then join us later in the week for 30-minute check-ins on Fridays (3-3:30pm) to:
  • see how the week went,
  • celebrate successes, and
  • reflect on what adjustments could be helpful moving forward
Format:  This is a space for students to connect with peers and a learning strategist to learn about how to make their weekly academic tasks more manageable. This session is split into four parts: introductions, strategy discussion, goal setting, and sharing. This session takes place virtually using MS Teams. There are no PowerPoint slides for this session and students are encouraged to attend for the entire 30 minutes.

Participation:  We welcome students to participate in a way that works best for you, whether that is using your camera, mic, or typing in the chat. Students are asked to introduce themselves at the beginning of the session, take part in quiet reflection after strategy introduction, set goals for their week, and share with the larger group their mid-week and/or end of week goals. Students are encouraged to ask questions as they come up via the chat or their microphone.

Materials:  Students are encouraged to have a place where they can digitally or physically record their weekly goals.

Platform Access Information:  To learn about the accessibility features on MS Teams and how to use them, students can read more about the overview of accessibility features and watch the MS Teams video tutorials.

Note: Registration is required for this event, so that students can receive the link to join the online program. For any questions, please email as.learning@utoronto.ca.

Students will be sent a link to join a Microsoft Teams Online Meeting in a reminder email sent approximately 24 hours prior to the session:
