Disclosure and Accommodation Strategies - For the Workplace

  • Wondering how to have conversations with employers about disclosure and accommodations?
  • Not sure when would be the "right" time to disclose or request accommodations? 
  • Curious about how to draw from your expereinces with academic accommodations when requesting accommodations for the workplace, co-ops, and co-curricular work?
Often navigating disclosure and accommodations can feel intimidating or overwhelming. In this interactive themed discussion, co-facilitated by a Career Educator and the Experiential Learning Accommodations Coordinator, you and a group of your peers will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss strategies for navigating disclosure and accommodations. There will be a 30-minute presentation, followed by 30 minutes of discussion-based conversation. Attendance is capped to ensure all participants have the space to share their questions, thoughts and experiences and provide their own advice.
