About the Program
Dream Job Academy (DJA) is an arts-based learning program designed to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and what's important to you, as you explore career areas of interest. Over the course of 6 sessions, we will use arts-based activities to explore career related themes. You will learn about:
- The skills and strengths you would like to bring to your 'dream job'.
- Creative strategies to find and create meaningful career opportunities.
- Ways to integrate your passions/interests into your future career planning.
Materials and lunch will be provided.
You will need:
- A willingness to be creative in your thinking and career exploration.
- An openness to connect and support others in the group
Eligibility
Open to all undergraduate, graduate students and recent alumni within 2 years
Dates
Dream Job Academy is be held weekly on Fridays from 11am to 1pm starting January 27 until March 3*. Participants are expected to attend all sessions, but it is understood that unexpected events/situations may occur; please keep us informed about your ability to participate in the sessions.
*DJA will be held ONLINE for the following two sessions: Jan 27 (first session) and Feb 24 (fourth session). All other sessions will be held IN-PERSON at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), Room 8220.

Students who complete the series are eligible for CCR recognition.
What you need to know:
- Ensure you register! Registration will close by 9am on the day of the workshop.
- If possible, please arrive a couple of minutes before the start time as events start on time and you don't want to miss important information.
- If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration to allow others the opportunity to participate.
- If there is additional capacity, individuals on the waitlist will be notified via email prior to the start of the session.
- Only University of Toronto students and recent graduates (within the past two years) are eligible to attend.
How the event works:
- Movement involved: Alternatives to moving around the room are built into the agenda.
- Participation Expectations: Participants are expected to attend in person. Individuals will be sitting in small groups and participate in multiple small group discussions.
- Technology: The session will use PowerPoint slides. The room has one large screen at the front and the facilitator will be using a microphone. Download a PDF of the slides in advance.
- Workshop Space: The room will be accessable by elevator. It will have windows and moveable tables and chairs to accommodate mobility devices. Reserved seating can be provided upon request.
- Materials: You do not have to bring any materials for this event. We encourage you to come prepared with questions and suggest you bring something to record your thoughts and notes.
- Privacy: Workshops will not be recorded without the express permission of the participants.
