Exam Prep: Planning for Final Exams

Preparing for any kind of test or exam? This session is for you- study smarter not harder.  
 
During this session we'll discuss: 

  • The differences between active and passive studying and how you can study more effectively and efficiently through active learning  
  • Ways to create a study plan  
  • Studying for specific types of assessments 
  • Ways to manage exam stress  
 
A complement to this workshop is our "Managing your Midterms/ Finals" peer workshop, where you'll create your personalized study plan with the help of a peer. Visit uof.me/academicevents to find times for this workshop.  
 
IF IN PERSON  
A FREE light lunch will be provided during this workshop. Please be sure to cancel your spot if you are not able to attend to limit food wastage and allow other students to join.

This session will include a lecture-style presentation with opportunities for interaction  
 
What you will need & access: 
This workshop requires access to the internet for an uninterrupted hour although a call-in number will also be provided for a less participatory option. You can request the slides ahead of time to support your participation and/or learning. 
The workshop will be presented in English with English and closed captioning available via MS Teams or Zoom. There is also a translation function for the comments. 
This workshop will contain interactive components. You might be invited to engage with the workshop using the chat function, virtual breakout rooms, online polling and will have the option to contribute using your mic and/or video functions.
