Effective Notetaking in Classes  
Taking good notes in class is crucial to your academic success, yet it is a skill that you must practice. In this workshop, discover the essential practices to capture and organize information during class.  

  • Identify the key notetaking strategies before, during, and after lecture to maximize comprehension and retention  
  • Discover the different ways to capture and synthesize key ideas in a lecture  
  • Explore the different approaches to notetaking, including annotation, concept maps, linear outlines, and step-by-step instructions 
This workshop will be held online on Zoom.   
  • Live captioning is available.   
  • Interactive activities may include online polling apps and the chat feature.   
  • The session will not be recorded. We will share slides and resources with all registrants.   
  • Keeping your camera on is welcome but optional.
