Reading academic texts can feel dauting. In this workshop, discover strategies to make conscious decisions about when and how to engage with your assigned readings.  

  • Identify factors to help you decide what to read and how to read it 
  • Understand active reading techniques to enable purposeful reading   
  • Explore notetaking, retrieval, and self-testing methods to optimize your comprehension and retention while reading 
This workshop will be held online on Zoom.   
  • Live captioning is available.   
  • Interactive activities may include online polling apps and the chat feature.   
  • The session will not be recorded. We will share slides and resources with all registrants.   
  • Keeping your camera on is welcome but optional.
