Interfaith movie nights are a fun opportunity to relax and connect. Every month we will show films highlighting a diverse array of faith traditions and experiences.

Lights for Gita is a short animated story about Gita, an 8-year-old girl who can't wait to celebrate Diwali - the Hindu festival of lights - in her new home in Canada. As she experiences the glittering beauty of the icy streets outside, the traditional festival of lights comes alive in a sparkling new way.

Koran by Heart follows a global contest reading of the Quran by young Muslim children that takes place in Cairo, Egypt annually during Ramadan. A coming of age story about Muslim kids in modern times.

The screening will take place at Main Activity Room in Koffler House, (569 Spadina Crescent), where we will provide a safe and inclusive space for all attendees. Following the screening, there will be a casual talkback session to think through the themes and experiences on-screen. We look forward to sharing these powerful and meaningful film with you.

Accessibility: There is ramp and elevator access to the building. The room is also accessible, with an open floorplan to move chairs and tables to accommodate patrons with mobility needs. Listen hearing assistance system available upon request.
