Registration Deadline: Nov 1, 2023 03:30 PM

Indigenous peoples view water beyond a survival basic need. Water has its spiritual value, social meaning, and cultural and customary importance to Indigenous communities. However, their access to water resources has been eroded and excluded from the contemporary water development policies. In this workshop, we will explore local and global Indigenous perspectives of water. We will also examine how the Indigenous water governance has been eroded and its impacts, and learn the resilience of Indigenous communities in protecting water.

This event is part of the Indigenous Learning in Local and Global Contexts Program.
