About the program:
For all those grieving, raging, feeling despair and fear, please join us as we come together in prayer and in connection. This is a space to resist the impulse to separate and divide, a space to reach towards one another in our grief and pray for deep and lasting healing for all those impacted by the violence and war in the Middle East. Participants are invited to bring a brief prayer to share. In moments when words aren't enough, prayer can be a powerful means for healing and feeling supported. Leaning on ancestral practices during times of rupture can help bolster us through difficult times. This program is co-facilitated by both a Jewish-identifying and a Muslim-identifying Emmanual Master of Pastoral Studies students.
What to expect:
At the start of each session there will be a grounding of the space with Community Guidelines. Co-facilitators will begin with an offering of prayers for healing and grief, and open the circle up for participants to share their prayers, poems or songs. There will also be time to be in community with one another alongside light refreshments.
Attendees: This event is for all Jewish, Muslim and Arab students.
