Crafting Futures - Indigenous Crafts and Career Chats

 

Come craft with us!! This session is designed specifically for Indigenous students. While crafting, engage in career chats to learn about specific programs, services, resource and work opportunities available for Indigenous students. 

 

Come ready to create, learn and reflect! 

 

Craft for this session: Dreamcatchers 

 

Invited guests: Career Exploration and Work Place Learning - Work Study

  • Explore how to align your Work Study job search with your unique identity and values

  • Take tangible actions toward finding roles that resonate with your personal and cultural identity while learning more about the Work Study Program

Materials will be provided, and all skill levels are welcome! Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

What you need to know: 

  • This session is geared towards University of Toronto Indigenous students.

  • In person workshop
  • Online registration is required- Ensure to register!
  • Registration is limited- 10 spots
  • If possible, please arrive a couple of minutes before the start time as events start on time and you don't want to miss important information. 
  • If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration to allow others the opportunity to participate. 
  • If there is additional capacity, waitlisted individuals will be notified via email prior to the start of the session. 
  • Supplies will be provided 
  • Priority registration for University of Toronto Indigenous students and recent graduates (within the past two years) 

 

How the event works:

  • Location: First Nations House, North Borden Building 563 Spadina Ave., 1st Floor Event Space
  • Washrooms: Accessible and all gender washroom is located on the same floor
