Careers in Law - Alumni Panel

This panel discussion will contribute to student and alumni knowledge of career possibilities in law while providing information about the panelists' career paths. Participants will explore what it is like to work in law today and be able to ask specific questions about law school. 

The event is done in collaboration between the Career Centre and the Office of Advancement.

Megha's Photo
Megha Wadhwani (HBA 2010 UTM)

Legal Counsel, Index Exchange

Megha earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from U of T Mississauga in 2010 and her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Edinburgh in 2013. She is currently serving as Legal Counsel at Index Exchange, a global advertising marketplace where premium digital media companies transact their ad impressions with accountability and in real-time. Megha manages the company's global privacy and risk program. Megha previously acted as Business Immigration Attorney for Emigra Worldwide, where she provided timely, comprehensive, and strategic legal counsel to applicants and Fortune-500 corporations in support of their global mobility and immigration needs. Megha has served as a member of the UTM Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2019 and as an Alumni Mentor since 2018.

Hana Tariq (BSc 2004 UTM)

Associate Lawyer, Bisceglia & Associates Professional Corporation

Hana earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from U of T Mississauga in 2004 and her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from York University's Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008. She is currently a Lawyer with Bisceglia & Associates Professional Corporation where she maintains a broad-based litigation practice, focused principally in the areas of construction law, commercial disputes, debt enforcement and insurance claims. Hana appears regularly before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and has represented clients at the Ontario Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal as co-counsel. In Hana's final year at UTM she was selected to be the Class Valedictorian and since 2015 she has served as a member of the UTM Alumni Association Board of Directors.
