PREP session for In the Field with Ontario Shores (virtual)

This is the preparation session for the In the Field Tour of Ontario Shores on TUES. NOV. 29, 2022.  To particpate in the tour, you are required to register for ONE of the mandatory preparation sessions offered.  Space is limited.


What is "In the Field" ?
Have you ever wanted to work in a company and wondered what it's really like? "In the Field" is a career exploration program involving a workplace tour that exposes students to the range of careers that can be found within an organization. Students also have the opportunity to hear from current employees and gain knowledge of the day-to-day operations. For this tour, students will be given a guided tour of the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences and be introduced to the different career paths that exist within the organization.

Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM 

How can I participate?
To participate on the tour of Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, please attend this mandatory preparation session to learn more about registration for this event.

What will I learn about the Prep Session?
  • The connection between attending In the Field and personal career planning
  • How to form networks and ask informed questions to explore various fields within Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences 
  • Gain understanding of the importance of professionalism required for the tour
  • Learn about the logistics of the tour itself
Eligibility
All U of T registered students and recent graduates (within two years of graduation) are eligible to participate. Please note that students from all disciplines and programs are eligible and welcome!

Transportation
A bus will leave campus at 9:00AM and return at approximately 1:00 PM. There is no cost to participate on this tour.

Is In the Field CCR eligible?
Yes. Once you have attended the In the Field tour, it is eligible for your co-cirricular record. Please visit ccr.utoronto.ca for more information. Please note that attending the preparation session and not attending the tour is not eligible for CCR validation.
