Join us for a beginner friendly mindfulness meditation followed by an energizing yoga class11-12:30 pm in the Main Activity Hall at the Multi-Faith Centre.

Jordan Weir (they/them) will launch our Self-Care Saturday Retreat with a 30 minute introduction to mindfulness meditation. Jordan is a graduate of the MA in Creative Writing program at U of T, and a current student at OISE's MEd in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Jordan has facilitated meditations for Student Life and OISE for the past 3 years.

Smriti Sundar will then guide you through a Flow Yoga class to build strength and flexibility. Smriti is a grad student in UX Design at U of T's School of Information. She is a 500-hour certified Hatha yoga instructor and completed her training in Bangalore/Mysore, India. Yoga has always been part of her upbringing, but practicing as an adult allowed her to connect with herself and her culture, manage her physical and mental health, and develop more gratitude and compassion.

 

This event is part of our Self-Care Saturday Retreat.  Please also take a moment to fill-out our general registration (this will allow you access to many other drop-in activities). We look forward to having you join us October 15th from 10-2:30PM for a fun filled day of activities!
