Registration Deadline: Dec 2, 2020 02:30 PM
Join us for a mindful exploration of healthy eating and how our relationship with food can affect our mood. This is an interactive program that combines relaxation and mindfulness meditation exercises with practical nutritional knowledge. We look at how eating habits can interfere with overall health and wellness goals and learn how mindfulness can be used as a tool to improve eating habits.
Note: If students wish to participate in the mindful eating meditation exercises please have on hand a small piece of chocolate (any type) and a small box of raisins (grapes, or any small food item will do).
In this workshop you will:
- Explore healthy eating as fuel for life
- Learn ways that food impacts your mood
- Experiment with relaxation and mindfulness techniques
- Laurie Coleman, MSW, RSW
- Tania Turrini, BASc, RD
This session will be held on the Blackboard Collaborate platform and all University of Toronto students are welcome to attend. Please note that there is a maximum of 30 participants in this session - so register soon!
