Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Group Debrief Session

Feb 2, 2024 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM

Registration Deadline: Jan 26, 2024 12:00 AM

The Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) is an assessment of intercultural competence. The assessment is valid, reliable and cross-culturally generalizable after being rigorously tested. By completing the assessment, you will gain valuable insights into how you engage with cultural commonalities and differences. You will also receive a personalized development plan to improve your intercultural mindset.

To participate in this activity:

  1. Register for an IDI group debrief session at least one week before the session. Registration closes on Thursday, January 25, 2024, 11:59 PM.
  2. You will receive your unique IDI login username and password for you to complete the assessment online a week prior to the session.
  3. Complete the assessment at least two days before the session.
    1. The IDI is a 50-item questionnaire.
    2. The IDI will take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete.
  4. Attend the IDI group debrief session. Note that you will not receive the IDI Individual Profile Report without attending the debrief session.
  5. After the debrief, you will also receive the IDI Individual Profile Report and a customized Intercultural Development Plan (IDP), which is self-directed learning to increase your intercultural mindset.

You may book an appointment with the Program Coordinator, You Jia Lee, at youjia.lee@utoronto.ca if you have any questions about the report and the IDP.
